A heavy snowfall covered Bormio (in the middle of the Italian Alps) yesterday night.
The famous Stelvio Slope took on a winter look; 15 cm. snow at Bormio village - 50 cm. at Bormio 2000 and 1 mt. at Bormio 3000.
Immediately snowcats and even snow cannons started working from Cima Bianca to Bormio 2000.
Meanwhile, the work of restyling of the cable car that leads from Bormio 2000 to Bormio 3000 (www.bormioski.eu) is proceeding as planned.
The winter season seems to be very promising: the slopes Stella Alpina and the other ones up to Cima Bianca are ready for skiers.
The opening day is on 30th November 2013 and from that day until 20th December 2013 you can ski for free on the slopes of Bormio and of the nearby 4 valleys if you stay a week in one of our holiday-homes. See “Bormio Free Ski 2013/14” for further information.
This was the spectacular scenery we admired when we woke up this morning.
